come on in and market a while

We warmly welcome Matt Kiefer and Emily Bauer

Front Page | November 2011

Silver Square welcomed two new folks into our idea-generating marketing machine last month. Matt Kiefer is master of media with a focus on video and Emily Bauer is a video/messaging princess — she’ll hate the royal reference. Get to know them.

Matt Kiefer, New Media Manager

First up, a few words from Matt:

I have always wanted to make cool things while having fun so I knew Silver Square was the place for me.  It is exciting to work and collaborate with all the talented people in the office.  I have a multimedia background and can’t wait to use my video, photo, and design skills here at Silver Square. (More on Matt.)

And now some tough questions for Matt:

If you were a breed of dog, what breed would you be and why?
Greyhound, no one could catch me!

If you could have one talent that you don’t already possess, what would it be and what would you do with it?
Mind reader, I’d know what my wife is thinking at all times

What is your favorite local Indy shop or restaurant and what do you love about it?
Thai Spice, Greenwood, best pad Thai!

What is your favorite creative medium and why?
Video.  I think it is the clearest way to get a message across.

What are 3 things you strive for in your weekday morning routine?
Getting out of the house on time, my drive is a little further than I’m used to.  Trying not to forget anything.  Making sure my gas isn’t on empty.

If you were a person of the opposite sex, what would your name be?
Norma

Emily Bauer, Marketing Specialist

And next, a few words from Emily:

I am so happy to be here! I have a journalism background and love that I will be able to use my writing, editing and video skills to meet the needs of our clients at Silver Square. Everyday there are new tasks and projects and I enjoy the variety of work. I am excited about the atmosphere here because there is always someone to collaborate with and no idea is too crazy to mention. (More on Emily.)

And some quirky questions for Emily:

If you were a breed of dog, what breed would you be and why?
A mutt because I am a little bit of everything.

If you could have one talent that you don’t already possess, what would it be and what would you do with it?
I wish I could run. It would be so fantastic to be able to get outside, run fast, and burn some calories.

What is your favorite local Indy shop or restaurant and what do you love about it?
I love the Broad Ripple Brew Pub because it is a great atmosphere, the nachos are amazing and I love playing darts! Oh, and it is non-smoking.

What is your favorite creative medium and why?
Television. Because I cried my eyes out to this one Hallmark commercial where a grandpa was finally learning to read while one of my favorite Alexi Murdoch songs played in the background. And then in the end it turned out he learned to read so he could get out old cards from his grandson and finally know what they say. (They of course said, “I love you grandpa.”) Ugh. Gets me every time.

What are 3 things you strive for in your weekday morning routine?
Only allowing one snooze, a matching outfit and packing my lunch.

If you were a person of the opposite sex, what would your name be?
Larry.

How may we help you?
