I was thinking there had to be something for us book people and there is – hit up BookSwim. Free shipping to and from, unlimted rentals and $10 a month. It even has textbooks on there so you’re sure to find professional and leisure books alike.
My friend Nicole Bickett over at Organize to Optimize introduced me to Audible.com which is books on CD. Same philosophy, same great, low, monthly fee… first three months even lower fee.
I haven’t decided which route I’ll take just yet, but know one is in store for me.
Of course, there’s also the library. Books are free, shipping is free, and the Indy Public Library will not only order books and movies they don’t have, but they will also deliver them to your primary library where you can pick them up.

Audible.com is great! I spent 18 months traveling between Indy and Akron, OH – no offense to either state, but the drive is B O R I N G. However, once I found Audible.com the drives weren’t so cumbersome. Huge, huge selection of books for every taste and the membership really does pay off with its included books per month and discounts over and above. There is a utility to tie right into iTunes so the upload to your iPod of MP3 was a breeze.
